About
The Nassau Humane Society improves the lives of homeless animals in our community by providing them shelter and compassionate care. Our work focuses on adoption services, education about responsible pet ownership, and working to reduce animal overpopulation and homeless pets. We have an Adoption Center & Shelter, Mobile Veterinary Clinic, the Island's only off-leash Dog Park and two resale shops, Second Chance and The Closet Boutique, located in the 8 Flags Shopping Center on S. 14th Street.
