Step into the spotlight with Blue Fire Theatre’s “Create a Character Adventure” Theatre Workshop!, sponsored by West Nassau Historical Society and Simply Health. 

Designed for ages 7–12, this FREE 1-hour, high-energy workshop introduces young performers to the exciting world of theatre through imagination, creativity, and FUN. 

Participants will explore acting through interactive theatre games, improv activities, movement, storytelling, and character creation. Kids will learn how to express emotions, work as a team, build confidence, and bring original characters to life in a supportive and encouraging environment. 

No experience is needed — just a willingness to play, create, and have fun! Whether your child loves being on stage or is simply looking to try something new, this workshop is a great way to develop creativity, communication skills, and self-confidence while making new friends. 

Throughout the workshop, students will: 

• Create original characters 
• Explore improvisation and storytelling 
• Practice teamwork and stage presence 
• Build confidence through performance games
• Use imagination to create mini scenes and adventures 

This workshop focuses on positivity, creativity, and self-expression while encouraging every child to shine in his or her own unique way.

Sponsored by West Nassau Historical Society and Simply Health, Stage Presence is an exciting FREE 90-minute theatre workshop presented by Blue Fire Theatre, designed for teens ages 13–18 who want to build confidence, creativity, and performance skills in a fun and supportive environment. 

Through high-energy improv games, character creation, ensemble activities, and scene work, students will explore what it means to truly connect with an audience and own the stage. 

This workshop encourages participants to take creative risks, strengthen communication skills, and develop authentic stage presence while working as part of a team.

 Whether students are experienced performers or stepping onto the stage for the first time, Stage Presence helps young actors grow in confidence, collaboration, and self-expression. 

Participants will: 

• Build confidence on and off stage 

• Learn improvisation and acting techniques 

• Create original characters and scenes

• Strengthen teamwork and communication skills 

• Develop vocal and physical performance abilities 

• Have fun in a positive, encouraging atmosphere
